Chipata is a prosperous town (by zambian standards) located very near the boarder with Malawi. We were there to visit a similar project that is ending, and to learn about the challenges they had and how they overcame them.

...
One of the projects we visited was a Child to Child learning program, where kids learn about HIV/AIDS and exchange lessons in the classroom. These girls had prepared a skit about staying healthy using singing and dancing.
...
Several groups had dance and song routines to teach each other about avoiding HIV/AIDS, stigma, and other means of staying healthy. Part of the school's rural improvement program is to make mud bricks for construction projects. These bricks are sun dried then baked in a coal oven.
...
Many Zambians visit traditional healers in addition to government or private clinics. NGOs work with these traditional healers to make sure they use clean instrument when applying tatoos, and other practices. Groups of village women receive training on sicknesses and diseases prevalent in their areas and how to identify the different symptoms. They then teach their friends and neighbors.
